[origin: WO2009046890A1] The invention relates to a jet regulator (1) having a distributor surface (3) comprising a plurality of throughflow holes (4). Said distributor surface (3) is provided for distributing the water jet. A rebounding surface (5) arranged in a central region of the jet cross-section is connected downstream of the distributor surface (3), said rebounding surface deflecting the water jet from the central region additionally to the edge regions of the clear throughflow cross-section. Flow guiding walls (6) are in turn connected downstream of the rebounding surface (5) in the flow direction and shape the flowing water into a consistent homogenous, tapering water jet. The jet regulator (1) according to the invention is characterized by a homogenous jet pattern. As the components thereof do not pose any large resistance to the water jet, the effort for securing the jet regulator (1) according to the invention in the fitting housing can be considerably reduced.
