Abstract (en)

[origin: FR2921719A1] The method involves projecting dusty seeds of a target (12) of a projector (8) on a three-dimensional surface (3), and acquiring and memorizing a two-dimensional image from the dusty seeds projected on the surface and deformed by the surface. The deformed two-dimensional image is compared with a non-deformed two- dimensional image for a selection of preset color and/or luminous intensity points of the dusty seeds. A depth coordinate measured parallelly at a main optical axis (13) of the projector is calculated for each point from the projection of the point on the surface. The dusty seeds act as a pocking type pattern or speckle type pattern. The target can be a transparent or translucent plate made of plastic or glass material.
