[origin: EP2045647A1] The head-up display has a projection unit (1) with an image sensor i.e. image generating device (8), for generating a virtual image. The image sensor has a light source i.e. LEDs (81), that emits light in three color bands. The projection unit exhibits a combiner unit (2) that exhibits a triple-notch-filter at a side (22) turned towards a viewer, and an anti-reflection coating at another side (21) turned away from the viewer. The triple-notch-filter has an offset filter that reduces a transmission of the combiner unit in a wavelength range of the emitted light about a constant factor.
