[origin: EP2196735A2] The muffle (1) has a feed opening (4) formed in a frame-like muffle front part (3). Plate-shaped side walls (10, 11) are connected to the front part. A set of connecting elements (17, 18, 21, 22) is provided, where each connecting element is designed as an element for providing a detachable connection of the side walls with upper and lower covers (36, 37). The front part includes flanges (8, 9), which are permanently connected to the side walls. Glass fiber seals (46, 47) are arranged between the side walls and the covers. Each cover is partially made of glass ceramics or metallic material.
