[origin: US2009087372A1] A process for the preparation of a catalyst for the production of carbon nanotubes, the use of the catalyst for the production of carbon nanotubes, and the carbon nanotubes obtained by this production process. The catalyst is prepared on the basis of at least two metals from the group: cobalt, manganese, iron, nickel and molybdenum from soluble precursor compounds by spray drying or spray granulation of the precursor compounds dissolved in a solvent, and subsequent calcination.
