[origin: WO2009049723A1] The invention relates to a drive (14) for a weapon comprising a functional control (7) for feeding ammunition (5) to a weapon barrel (4) of the weapon (1) which comprises an adjustable breech (2), the functional control (7) defining the standstill times of the weapon by means of a control link (6) which is arranged in a horizontal plane parallel to the breech (2) to be adjusted, and a drive link (9) which is arranged in parallel to the control ink (6) and functionally interacts therewith. The drive link (9) is integrated into a slide (11) which is connected to the breech (2) via means (12). The means (12) is guided in the control and drive links (6, 9). The slide (11) has a groove (13) on the bottom thereof, a cam (15) of the drive (14) engaging in said groove and being guided therein during the standstill times of the weapon.
