[origin: EP2198753A1] The bed has a carriage (3) extricably arranged under a seat part (2) that is fastened to a frame (11). A middle section (4) swivelable by swivel fittings and a base part (5) linked to the fittings are arranged in the carriage. The base part rests on the middle section in a non-usage position and is displaced to a common couch level with the seat part when the carriage is extended. The swivel fittings are formed as a four-joint chain, where the swivel fittings comprise a control lever and a connecting rod that are rotatably supported at the middle section and at the carriage.
