The bag (1) has an inner space, which is surrounded by plies of filter material, where an inlet opening is formed in the filter material. A distance limiting strip is provided in the inner space for limiting distance between two spaced positions of the filter material, which is connected with another filter material at an opposite side. The distance limiting strip is made of rigid material such as cardboard or plastic, or flexible material such as fleece material, paper, rubber, plastic foil, interlaced yarns or knitted fabric. The bag is designed as padded flat-bottom bag or flat bag. An independent claim is also included for a method for manufacturing a vacuum cleaner bag.

Ein Staubsaugerbeutel (1) umfasst einen Innenraum (8), der von Lagen aus Filtermaterial umgeben ist, wobei eine Einlassöffnung an dem Filtermaterial ausgebildet ist. In dem Innenraum (8) ist mindestens eine Vorrichtung (10) zur Begrenzung des Abstandes zweier beabstandeter Punkte des Filtermaterials vorgesehen, die an gegenüberliegenden Seiten mit dem Filtermaterial verbunden ist. Dadurch wird eine Anpassung der Form des Staubsaugerbeutels (1) an eine Kammer eines Staubsaugers erreicht.
