[origin: EP2199590A1] The fuel injector has a high-pressure space (8) arranged in an injector body (1), which is attached at a high-pressure source (CR) for fuel. The injector body is connected over an injection nozzle (15) for fuel injection with a combustion chamber, which is controlled by closing unit and nozzle needle (10). The closing unit and nozzle needle are guided in axial movable manner at its end with plunger-type axial extension (10') in a guide bore.
