[origin: EP2200161A1] [Purpose] To provide a magnetic flux shunt control type rotary electric machine system having a good energy efficiency, in a magnet excited rotary electric machine. [Solving Means] In a magnet excited rotary electric machine system in accordance with the present invention, a field portion opposed to an armature is divided into two so as to be constructed in such a manner as to be capable of relatively displacing, and a magnetic flux amount of a main magnetic flux path is changed by distributing a magnetic flux from a field magnet into the main magnetic flux path which passes in an armature side and a bypass magnetic flux path which does not pass in the armature, in correspondence to a relative displacement. There is provided a rotary electric machine system which has a minimum magnetic force condition setting magnetic resistances of the main magnetic flux path and the bypass magnetic flux path in such a manner as to keep a magnetic flux total amount from the field magnet constant, and can control a magnetic flux amount by suppressing a magnetic force preventing the displacement or utilizing a magnetic force appearing so as to deflect from the minimum magnetic force condition, and a magnetic flux amount control method.
