[origin: EP2200397A1] The method involves supplying power to an electrical element i.e. inductor, of an electrical boiling plate (F1) of an electrical cooking apparatus e.g. induction cooktop (10), over a program time period with instantaneous supply power, in a cyclic manner. The program time period is determined based on instantaneous variation of power supplied to the electrical element during cyclic supplying of the power to the electrical element. An independent claim is also included for an electrical cooking apparatus comprising an inductor.
