Abstract (en)
[origin: WO2009034541A2] The present invention relates to new solid dosage forms for the controlled release of trimetazidine suitable for once-daily dosing, in which the dosage form exhibits a controlled in vitro release of trimetazidine in phosphate buffer at pH 6.8 of not less than about 75% after 16 hours when measured using USP Apparatus I at 100 rpm, thereby decreasing the incidence and severity of burst release or dose dumping.
