Abstract (en)

[origin: WO2009051966A1] A method for imaging a media is provided which includes supporting a substrate and the media in a layered configuration. An imaging head is operated to image the media by directing radiation beams towards a surface of the imaged media while effecting relative movement between the imaging head and the support. A roller is brought into contact with the imaged media. The roller can be brought into contact with an un-imaged region of the surface of the imaged media, the un-imaged region corresponding to a region of the surface of the imaged media that is not impinged by the radiation beams. The un-imaged region could be an edge portion of the media. Relative movement is effected between an axis of rotation of the roller and the support to cause the roller to roll on the regions of the surface of the imaged media impinged by the radiation beams.
