Abstract (en)
[origin: WO2009050154A1] The invention relates to a high or very-high voltage circuit breaker comprising, per phase, at least two aligned cut-off chambers, each chamber comprising a pair of main contacts, a pair of contacts each fastened to one of the main contacts and a nozzle for blowing the hot gases resulting from the cut-off, the pairs of contacts being partly of complimentary male and female shapes and each comprising at least one moving contact, the nozzle being fastened to the moving main contact and the moving arc contact. According to the invention, the movement between the moving contacts of the first chamber (Ca) and those of the second chamber (Cb) is transmitted simultaneously by a transmission assembly (4, 40, 41) which is fastened directly, on the one hand, to the moving main contact (7a) of the first chamber and, on the other hand, to the moving arc contact (1b) of the second chamber, the transmission assembly being contained inside the two cut-off chambers.
