[origin: EP2202463A2] The hob (100) has a lower carrier element (50) i.e. cooking hob cavity, connected with an upper carrier element (40) i.e. cooking hob cover plate, and comprising a support element i.e. supporting screw (10), for supporting the upper element. The support element is sectionally arranged at the hob and vertically extends towards the upper element. A reinforcing element e.g. strip (42), is arranged at a side of the upper element, extends horizontally and reinforces the upper element, where the side is turned towards the lower element. The reinforcing element is supported on the support element.
