The method involves determining position data of a motor vehicle, received by a satellite positioning system and toll data from vehicle-specific information in an application for determining the toll data. The satellite positioning system is attached to an on-board unit. The toll data is transferred from a mobile radio module to a toll road operator, where the mobile radio module is attached to the on-board unit. The toll data and the application for the determining the toll data are stored in a storage of a subscriber identity module card of the module of an on-board unit. An independent claim is also included for an on-board unit for a motor vehicle.

Die vorliegende Erfindung betrifft ein Verfahren zum Schützen von mautspezifischen Daten und/oder von einer Applikation zur Bestimmung von mautspezifischen Daten in einer On-Board-Unit eines Kraftfahrzeuges, wobei aus von einem der On-Board-Unit zugeordneten Satellitenortungssystem empfangenen Positionsdaten des Kraftfahrzeuges und aus fahrzeugspezifischen Angaben in der Applikation zur Bestimmung der mautspezifischen Daten die mautspezifischen Daten bestimmt werden, wobei die mautspezifischen Daten über ein der On-Board-Unit zugeordnetes Mobilfunkmodul an einen Mautbetreiber übertragbar sind, bei dem die mautspezifischen Daten und/oder die Applikation zur Bestimmung der mautspezifischen Daten in einem Speicher einer SIM-Karte des Mobilfunkmoduls der On-Board-Unit gespeichert werden. Ferner betrifft die Erfindung eine On-Board-Unit für ein Kraftfahrzeug, die Mittel zur Durchführung des Verfahrens aufweist.
