The aim of the invention is to provide a corrosion-resistant and durable operator control of the above type for a domestic appliance. The operator control for a domestic appliance therefore comprises an induction coil arrangement (20) for inductively transferring energy for operating the display unit (22) from a space below or behind the cover plate (10) onto the control knob (16).
