Rinse aid comprises (a) a surfactant, which is carboxylic acid amide compound (I); (b) a hydrotope; (c) an organic hydroxycarboxylic acid; and (d) water. Rinse aid comprises (a) a surfactant, which is carboxylic acid amide compound of formula (R 1>-C(=O)-N(R 2>)-R 3>) (I); (b) a hydrotope; (c) an organic hydroxycarboxylic acid; and (d) water. R 1>optionally saturated 6-22C alkyl or alkenyl; R 2>H, 1-6C alkyl or R 3>; R 3>A-(O-CH 2-CHR 4>-) m-OR 5>; R 4>, R 5>H or 1-4C alkyl; A : (CH 2) nor 2-6C hydroxyalkyl; m : whole or fractional number from 1-10; and n : 1-6. An independent claim is included for a method for automatic dishwashing in which the articles to be washed passes through (i) a cleaning phase under the use of cleaning agent and water, (ii) a rinse cycle under the use of rinse aid and water and/or (iii) a subsequent drying phase, where the temperature in the drying phase does not exceed 55[deg] C and an agent comprising (I) is used in step(s) (i) and/or (ii).

Klarspülmittel, die a) ein Tensid gemäß der allgemeinen Formel (I) enthalten, in der R 1 für einen gesättigten oder ungesättigten, verzweigten oder linearen Alkyl- oder Alkenylrest mit 6 bis 22 C-Atomen steht, R 2 für Wasserstoff steht oder einen Alkylrest mit 1 bis 6 C-Atomen oder einen Rest R 3 bedeutet, und R 3 für einen Rest A-(O-CH 2 -CHR 4 -) m -OR 5 steht und R 4 und R 5 unabhängig voneinander ein Wasserstoffatom oder einen Alkylrest mit 1 bis 4 C-Atomen bedeuten und A für einen Gruppe (CH 2 ) n - oder eine Hydroxylalkylgruppe mit 2 bis 6 C-Atomen steht und n eine ganze Zahl von 1 bis 6 ist und m für ganze oder gebrochene Zahlen von 1 bis 10 steht und weiterhin b) ein Hydrotrop, c) eine organische Hydroxycarbonsäure und d) Wasser enthalten zeigen ein verbessertes Trocknungsverhalten beim automatischen Geschirrspülen und ermögliche so Reinigungsverfahren bei niedrigeren Temperaturen als übliche Referenzmittel.
