Abstract (en)
[origin: EP2204540A2] A system for enhancing the heat transfer of turbine engine components (5) is disclosed that includes applying a metallic coating (32) having a high thermal conductivity to the cold side (24) of a turbine component to enhance heat transfer away from the component (5). The metallic coating (32) may be roughened to improve heat transfer. The metal coating (32) may be a Ni-Al bond coating having an aluminum content greater than about 50 weight percent.
