[origin: WO2009039887A1] The present invention is directed to a DC control unit for coupling an output of a solar generator to an input of an inverter, comprising: a control input for receiving an output signal of a solar generator, a control output for providing an output signal for feeding into the inverter, and a control circuit for limiting the control output voltage to a first predetermined value. The present invention is further directed to an inverter and a solar system comprising a control unit to limit the input voltage of an inverter. The present invention is further related to a method for controlling such a solar system. The invention is further directed to a corresponding inverter.
