Abstract (en)

[origin: WO2009043330A2] The invention relates to a power unit for generating electric power from mechanical power in a wind power plant, comprising a transmission and a generator which are fixedly interconnected. The generator encompasses at least one rotor, at least one stator, and a generator housing that surrounds the rotor and the stator. The transmission has an output stage, an input stage, and a transmission housing that surrounds the input stage and the output stage. The input stage comprises a driving internal gear that has a front side and is mounted in the transmission housing, at least one driving planetary gear which is mounted in the transmission housing by means of a flexible bearing system, and a driving internal sun gear. The output stage comprises an output internal gear that is connected in a rotationally fixed manner to the driving internal sun gear, at least one output planetary gear which is mounted within the front side of the driving internal gear by means of a flexible bearing system, and an output sun gear that is connected in a rotationally fixed manner to the output shaft of the transmission. The output shaft is mounted on the transmission housing or the generator housing.
