Abstract (en)
[origin: EP2208592A1] The circular saw has a carrier (1) and a rotary disk (6) with an extension arm (7). The carrier forms a work piece support surface (2) for the circular saw. A sawing unit (5) with a circular saw blade (9) is pivoted around a transverse axis (11) from a lifted rest position into a lowered sawing position. The sawing unit is fitted above the carrier by a fastener (4). A locking device is fully functional in lowered saw unit only with the mounted saw blade guard for a table saw. An independent claim is also included for a sawing blade guard with a double-armed swivel bracket.
