[origin: EP2208704A1] The arm (10) has a distance sensor (22) arranged adjacent to a carrier arm (14) in a bore hole (20) of a fork face (12), and detecting presence of a load on the carrier arm. The sensor is connected with a communication unit at the fork surface for transmitting a sensor signal to an industrial truck. The sensor is connected with a control unit (28) that is attached to the fork surface. The control unit is connected with an antenna (38) at the fork surface or with the truck via a data line. A radio frequency identification antenna (34) is integrated in a front region of the carrier arm.
