[origin: EP2208893A2] The pneumatic actuator is provided with a housing which has a base (1) and a cover (2), where a membrane (3) is provided between the base and cover. A working space magnetic position sensor (8) is coupled with the membrane. A magnetic field sensor (9) is provided for detecting a shift of the position sensor. A magnetic shield (10) is arranged between a return spring (6) and the magnetic field sensor.
