[origin: WO2009062568A1] The invention relates to a conveyor device (10) for workpieces, having a load bearing suspension track. The load bearing suspension track has a load rail (12) and at least one load bearing wagon (16) on which the workpieces can be hanged for the purpose of conveyance, and which can be moved along the load rail (12). A drive wagon (18) driven by a motor serves to move the load bearing wagon (16) and can be moved on a drive track (14). The drive track (14) runs parallel to the load rail (12). The drive wagon (18) can be coupled to the load bearing wagon (16) by detachable coupling means (24, 74b) in such a manner that the drive wagon (18) can drive and/or brake the load bearing wagon (16).
