Abstract (en)
[origin: EP2210835A1] The device (16) has a flexible bag (18) comprising balls (20) and co-operating with a motorized belt (26) for separating flat articles such as mailpieces (12), one-by-one by deformation of the bag while conveying the flat articles downstream. The bag has a parallelepiped shape with a trapezoid section, and includes two compartments maintained by first and second suspension arms (22A, 22B) and a third suspension arm. Each ball has a diameter less than 10 mm, where the ball is made of material e.g. metal, glass and elastomer. The flexible bag is made of a technical textile material i.e. nylon.
