[origin: WO2009080917A1] The invention relates to a device for extracting an electrode (35, 36) attached to an electrode holder of a spot welding robot gripper. The device comprises a support (16) in which there slides an extractor (13) intended to press against the electrode (35, 36), a housing (10, 11) to accommodate the electrode (35, 36) and at least one electrode backstop means (23, 24, 25, 26) in the form of a cone frustum so as to impart, to the said electrode, under the action of the extractor (13) a helical extraction movement with respect to the electrode holder, the electrode being held in position by means of an immobilizing module (50, 51).
