[origin: WO2009053436A2] The invention relates to a method for the production of thermoformed articles, such as food packaging or parts thereof, with a mechanical weakening between mutually adjoining function areas, which can be separated at least partly from one another at the mechanical weakening for utilization by the user, in a thermoforming die with an upper and a lower die. The mechanical weakening is introduced during the period, in which the material, which is to be shaped, is present in the thermoforming die, by a three-dimensional extension. Furthermore, the invention relates to a thermoforming die for implementing the method.
