The image information in at least two of the layers (15, 17, 19) comprises digital watermark information (25, 27, 29), wherein the entirety of the digital watermark information (25, 27, 29) in the at least two layers (15, 17, 19) forms a security feature for an authentication of the document (1). The invention further relates to a respective document (1), a method for authentication (37), and a device for authentication.
