Abstract (en)

[origin: DE10223558A1] Blood removal system has housing with exit opening for the tip of a lancet and a lancet guide for guiding the lancet on a predetermined puncture path and lancet drive is provided with a drive spring, cocking device, a drive rotor and an output-side coupling mechanism. An end of the drive spring that faces away from the drive rotor is connected to a rotationally movable cocking element. The blood removal system has housing (6) with exit opening (15) for the tip (14) of a lancet (3), a lancet guide (10) for guiding the lancet on a predetermined puncture path and a lancet drive (12) provided with a drive spring (22), a cocking device (23) for tensioning the drive spring in the cocking phase of the lancet drive, a drive rotor (24) driven by the drive spring rotatable about an axis (A) and an output-side coupling mechanism (25) for converting the rotational movement of the drive rotor in a drive phase of the lancet drive in to a puncture movement. An end of the drive spring that faces away from the drive rotor is connected to a rotationally movable cocking element (33). The lancet is moved with high speed in a puncture direction (13) until the tip of the lancet exits out of the exit opening to produce a wound. The cocking element with inhibited rotation of the drive rotor is rotatable for tensing the drive spring in the same direction of rotation (R) in which the drive rotor rotates during a driving phase. The cocking element is arrested during drive phase against a reverse rotation so that the driver rotor after release of the rotation inhibition performance rotational movement which is converted by a unit of the output side of the coupling mechanism into the puncturing movement of the lancet.
