Abstract (en)
The mechanism (5) has a pneumatic space (19) between a free piston (13) and an exciter piston (12). A drive e.g. electric motor, periodically moves the exciter piston with a stroke along an impact axis (8). The free piston is excited to a periodic movement between an impact surface (27) and a minimal approximation to the exciter piston. The stroke is selected based on a maximal length (L) of the pneumatic space, such that the periodic movement of the free piston comprises speed equal to zero at a path between the impact surface and the minimal approximation. An independent claim is also included for a method for controlling a pneumatic hammer mechanism.

Das pneumatische Schlagwerk 5 weist auf: einen Flugkolben 13, der längs einer Schlagachse 8 beweglich ist; eine Schlagfläche 27, die eine Bewegung des Flugkolbens 13 längs der Schlagachse 8 in Schlagrichtung 99 begrenzt; einen Erregerkolben 12, der eine Bewegung des Flugkolbens 13 längs der Schlagachse 8 entgegengesetzt der Schlagrichtung 99 begrenzt; einen pneumatischen Raum 19 zwischen Flugkolben 13 und Erregerkolben 12; einen Antrieb 3 zum periodischen Bewegen des Erregerkolbens 12 mit einem Hub H längs der Schlagachse 8, wodurch der Flugkolben 13 zu einer periodischen Bewegung zwischen Schlagfläche 27 und Erregerkolben 12 angeregt ist. Der Hub H ist in Abhängigkeit einer maximalen Länge des pneumatischen Raums derart gewählt, dass die periodische Bewegung des Flugkolbens 13 auf dem Weg zwischen einem Schlag auf die Schlagfläche 27 und einer minimalen Annäherung an den Erregerkolben 12 zwischenzeitlich eine Geschwindigkeit von Null aufweist.
