The corner sections are attached by a line segment, and a foil feeding device (16) is arranged behind a supply roll (13) for a stamping foil (14). A straight line stamping unit (17) is arranged downstream behind the foil feeding device. A corner stamping unit is arranged downstream behind the straight line stamping unit. A rest foil triggering device is arranged downstream behind the corner stamping unit. An independent claim is also included for a method for stamping a transfer layer of a strip-shaped stamping foil.
