Abstract (en)

An apparatus for determining a channel quality parameter for a multiple-input multiple-output communication system with a number of data streams being simultaneously provided to terminals by a base station comprises a processor configured to determine the channel quality parameter based on a number of receive antennas of one of the terminals. The channel quality parameter belongs to a channel between one of the terminals and the base station.
