[origin: EP2214422A2] The method involves wearing a hearing aid (1) by a listener (3), and storing a time and a listening situation in the hearing aid in a storage unit (5). A maximum output level algorithm for signal processing is activated during the situation. The aid is converted into a learning module. The time, the situation, and the algorithm are outputted and/or displayed using an output unit (12). Evaluation measures (BM), which express satisfaction of the listener with the aid, are inputted using an input unit (14). A parameter of the algorithm is changed based on the measures using a changing unit (7). An independent claim is also included for a hearing device comprising a situation detection unit.
