[origin: WO2009071834A2] The invention relates to an accessory (1) for bearing the head (T) of a lying individual (I), in particular during sleep, characterised in that it comprises a substantially rigid base (2) bearing at least a first head rest cushion (3) for the lying position on the back, and at least a second head rest cushion (4, 5) for the lying position on the side, the second cushion being arranged on a substantially rigid plate (8, 9) supported by a linking arm (6, 7) extending from the base (2) along an axis perpendicular to the base and the plate (8, 9), the plate being mounted on the arm (6, 7) so as to be capable of pivoting about the axis of the arm, the latter maintaining a gap (E, E') between the plate (8, 9) and the base (2) so as to allow the passage of an arm (B) of the individual between the base and the plate when the head (T) of the individual bears on the second cushion (4, 5) supported by the plate (8, 9).
