[origin: WO2009065400A1] During operation of the drive rolls (1) of a roll pair in an underfloor wheelset lathe, each drive roll is rotatably and drivably mounted on the respective free end (21, 21') of a roll carrier link (12, 12'). The roll carrier link (12, 12') consists of a link (13, 13') and a link lever (4, 4'), which are permanently connected at a first end (14, 14') of the link lever (4, 4') and can pivot about a respective rotational axis (A, B) in the lathe frame (10). The rotational axis (A, B) runs at a radial distance (24) from and parallel to the rotational axis (Z, Z') of the wheelset (22, 22'), the two free second ends (15, 15') of the link lever (4, 4') being connected in a jointed manner by means of a respective lifting cylinder (5, 5') and first joints (16, 16', 33, 33'), the cylinder and joints engaging with a respective second lever (34, 34'), which is pivotally mounted in a bearing (38, 38') in the lathe frame (10) of the underfloor wheelset lathe and is rotationally fixed to the other second lever (34, 34').
