[origin: WO2009071270A1] A ventilator, particularly a fan of a device (20), comprising at least one component (22, 25, 40), wherein during operation of the ventilator sound and oscillating emissions can be generated due to excitation of the natural frequency thereof. The ventilator comprises at least one mechanical resonator (50, 52, 55) that is associated with the at least one component (22, 25, 40) and dampens the natural frequency thereof in order to reduce the generation of sound and oscillating emissions.
