Abstract (en)
The ascender (10) has a metallic fixed flange-plate (11) equipped with a straight U-shaped trough (14) and a movable trigger (12) to block a rope against an inner surface of the trough when the flange-plate is solicited in a downward direction. An ergonomic grip (20) permits the ascender to be totally held in hand. The grip extends over whole length of the trough delineated by a bottom stop (21) and an upper protuberance (22). A pivot-pin (16) of the trigger is located at an intermediate level between opposite ends of the grip. The grip is made of molded plastic.

Bloqueur pour corde fixe comportant un flasque 11 métallique équipé d'une goulotte 14 de logement de la corde, et d'une gâchette 12 pivotante destinée à bloquer la corde contre la surface interne de la goulotte lorsque le flasque 11 est sollicité dans le sens de la descente. La surface extérieure de la goulotte 14 comporte une poignée 20 de préhension ergonomique pour la prise en main totale du bloqueur. La poignée 20 s'étend sur toute la longueur de la goulotte 14, et l'axe 16 d'articulation de la gâchette 12 est situé à un niveau intermédiaire entre les extrémités opposées de la poignée 20.
