[origin: EP2216273A1] The system has a driving device rigidly connected to an inner surface of a drum-shaped storage container (6). The storage container is rotatably mounted around an axis by two bearings. The storage container has a supply opening (5) and a discharge opening, which are axially arranged at opposite sides of the storage container. A supply unit is provided between the discharge opening and a transportation pipe to supply waste objects (3) to the pipe. An air inlet valve is arranged outside the container and directly connected with the pipe. An independent claim is also included for a method for transferring waste objects from an input station to a central waste collection point.
