Abstract (en)
[origin: EP2216619A2] The termination device has a drive device (3) for driving control surfaces (1) of a projectile using a transmission (2). An operative element (4) is actuated by a triggering device (6) and integrated in the transmission. The operative element has variable kinematic dimensions and is formed by a transmission element (20) of the transmission. The triggering device has an energy storage (5) i.e. elastic element, that is formed by a spring (50). The triggering device has a detachable locking device (60) for the energy storage. An independent claim is also included for a method for terminating flight of a projectile.
