[origin: EP2070429A1] Use of catechin and/or its derivative for oxidative stabilization of sterols and sterol esters, is claimed. Independent claims are included for: (1) the preparation of oxidation-stable sterol formulation, in which sterol or sterol esters are added with catechin and/or its derivative; (2) an oxidation-stable sterol formulation comprising the sterols and/or sterol esters and catechin or catechin derivative; and (3) a foodstuff containing 0.1-50 wt.% of the oxidation-stable sterol formulation.
