[origin: WO2009068016A1] The invention relates to a device for pneumatically receiving a planar object, having a suction box (2) in which a negative pressure may be generated and on the suction side of which a contact element (4) is disposed guided in a displaceable fashion along said suction box and penetrated by suction channels (20), said contact element being made of a flexible web-shaped material and accommodated by receiving means (18) disposed on both sides of the suction side of the suction box, wherein a plurality of suction channels is disposed inside established geometric contours, said channels being selectively movable into the region of the suction side by displacing the contact element.
