[origin: CA2709129A1] In order to provide an oil sump, comprising a basic body with a main oil chamber and a wall, which oil sump can be adapted particularly simply to different oil collecting volumes which are required in each case, it is proposed that the oil sump comprises at least one additional oil chamber and the wall has at least one through opening, by which the additional oil chamber is connected to the main oil chamber of the basic body.
