[origin: WO2009071734A1] Various embodiments of the invention provide blocks or modules for a transaction to request authentication information regarding the user of the apparatus by way of switching from the transaction protocol, for example ISO-14443 communication, to peer-to-peer communications protocol, for example NFC-IP, and requesting user authentication information from the apparatus. The transaction can be authenticated accordingly. The authentication information may include, according to at least one embodiment, an image of the user or like, but also other kind of information that can be used as a proof of authenticity of the person using the apparatus can be used as well.
