[origin: EP2218507A2] The device has rotors (14, 16) arranged in a housing (2) and comprising number of rotary disks (19). The rotary disks are arranged in axial distance from one another and forming spaces between one another. The rotary disks are fitted on a circumferential side with comminuting tools (21) that interact with additional comminuting tool for performing comminution work. Stationary scraping elements (29) extend into the intermediate spaces in a radial direction. The scraping elements arranged in a dead zone of the rotor with respect to direction of material flow.
