[origin: EP2218523A1] The machine has a bottle transporting device for transporting bottles to be cleaned to spraying nozzles (15a, 15b) through a spiral transportation path (8), and a housing (12) provided with a collecting tub (17). The tub transports the bottles to front of the path, and the nozzles are arranged at an outer side/inner side of the path, where the nozzles are high-pressure nozzles. The nozzles are arranged as stationary or rotating within the path, and the bottles are transported in bottle holders (6) i.e. gated bottle basket, which are connected to one another to form a room-traveling chain. An independent claim is also included for a method for cleaning bottles.
