[origin: EP2218906A1] The injector has an actuator unit (1) for operating a control valve (2), and a hydraulic coupler unit (3) connected with the actuator unit by a setting piece (4). A valve piston (7) is pre-stressed against a closing element (6) of the control valve by a spring element (5). The hydraulic coupler unit comprises a coupler sleeve (8) that is pre-stressed against the setting piece by another spring element (9). The coupler sleeve limits a pressure chamber (10) with the valve piston and the setting piece, where the former spring element is designed as a coil spring.
