Abstract (en)

[origin: WO2009071322A2] The invention relates to a mixer, comprising a mixing trough (2), a mixing unit rotor (8) that can be rotated about a substantially vertical rotational axis (16) by means of a drive motor (6), a first mixing tool (18) and a second mixing tool (22) being disposed on said rotor in a rotating manner about the respective rotational axes, wherein the first mixing tool (18) is coupled to the first drive motor (6) by means of a gearbox (12) that is disposed on the mixing unit rotor (8), and wherein the two mixing tools (18, 22) protrude into the mixing trough (2) or into the mixing product from above. The invention is to refine the mixer such that uniform mixing of the mixing product is achieved, particularly in a reduced mixing time, wherein coordination of the consistency and/or composition of the mixing product is to be enabled in a simple manner. For this purpose the invention provides that a second drive motor (24) be provided, and further a second gearbox (26) be provided on the mixing unit rotor (8), that the second mixing tool (22) is coupled to the second drive motor (24) via the second gearbox (26), and that the rotational speed of the second mixing tool (22) can be predetermined or changed according to the rotational speed of the second drive motor (24) independently of the rotational speed of the mixing unit rotor (8) and/or of the first mixing tool (18).
