[origin: WO2009071296A1] The invention relates to an agent for avoiding discoloration and graying during the washing of textiles, wherein a colorant-binding substrate based on cationized cellulose is used in the form of cationized staple fibers and/or cationized cord thread sections. The agent may contain detergent-active and textile-maintaining ingredients, and may be placed in reusable containers or in disposable containers. The method is particularly cost-effective because waste materials such as inferior quality fibers may be used and, moreover, no decoloration of the dyed textile material occurs, as no direct contact occurs between the substrate and the laundry due to the use of containers.
