Abstract (en)
[origin: WO2009068424A1] The invention relates to a device for burning fuel containing, or consisting of, hydrogen, said device comprising a burner having a spin generator (1), means for the supply of fuel and means for the supply of combustion air (L) into the spin generator (1), a first means for liquid fuel supply being provided along a burner axis (A) and a second means for liquid fuel supply or gaseous fuel supply being provided along air inlet slits defined tangentially by the spin generator (1). Said device also comprises a transition section (6) connected downstream to the spin generator (1), and a mixing tube (8) connected downstream to the transition section (6) and ending in a combustion chamber (B) with an inconstant flow cross-section transition. The invention is characterised in that the device is also provided with a third means (9), along the transition section, for supplying the fuel containing hydrogen or consisting of hydrogen, and a fourth means (10) for selectively supplying the fuel containing hydrogen or consisting of hydrogen or the gaseous fuel.
